HEALTH ADVISORY
Dr. Johnica Bennett is a seasoned and compassionate healthcare specialist and educator with an in-depth career of over 20 years in Women’s health, Obstetrics/Gynecology and Nursing Education. She started her career as a Registered Nurse in 1996 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) from Florida International University in 1998. She also received a Master of Science Nursing in Degree (MSN) from the University of Miami in 2003 after extensive training in midwifery obtained board certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board.

Dr. Bennett has held faculty and board appointments, to include South University- West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Atlantic University and the Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County. She received the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Miami in 2013 and conducted extensive research in the area of simulation technology for maternal child health nursing education.

Dr. Johnica M. Bennett is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has a special clinical interest in breast health, adolescent gynecology and teen pregnancy/STI prevention. She is committed to social service and care for women from all backgrounds and cultures.

She is the CEO/Founder of SpeakHER ,LLC which provides guest speaking and expert panelist services to various organizations across the country. SpeakHER was founded out of a growing need to provide women with empowering information on various female health topics such as menopause, hormone replacement and sexual health. Attendees are also afforded the opportunity to follow up in an office setting for women’s health management and consultation.
Dr. Bennett believes in forming relationships with people to understand their health needs and goals, as well as working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop a plan that will insure patients achieve their best possible state of health. She is a wife and mother to 3 children, one of whom is currently serving in the United States Army, and a 6-year-old boxer. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her husband of 20 years cruising, traveling and attending concerts.
