ADMINISTRATION

Gwen has over 15+ years experience in Administration.  She has her own Administrative & Marketing Consulting firm, Perpetual Success.  She is currently the Florida Administrator for the Florida Coalition on Black Civic Participation, Black Women’s Roundtable.  She is involved with the Help Agency of Florida Organization where she is the acting Secretary. 

 

Gwen acquired her activism and charitable giving from the elder women in her family.  These women were influential socialites within their community.  There charitable giving was always done through functions and events that they implemented to educate, bring a community together and solve serious community issues.   In this training from her elders, Gwen has volunteered and worked for charitable organization throughout her life.

 

She has worked for the Urban League where her professional training in the non-profit arena was enhanced.  She actively assisted the organization in creating equality for a particular minority challenged zip code area through strategically developed programs. As an employee of Jackson and Jackson, a firm that was dedicated to placing the displaced back into the workforce, she conducted several workshops on pre-employability skills training, implemented a workflow system and was responsible for the firms marketing.

 

She was Executive Director of P.R.O.P.E.L. (People Reaching Out to Provide Education and Leadership).  P.R.O.P.E.L. is an organization that assists a low-income housing project known as Dixie Manor in Boca Raton, FL.  Gwen accomplished life-changing accolades within this community through programs she developed.  One program in particular, “So you want to be a gangster” that helped the young men of the community and in collaboration with the Haven House, which houses youth boys from age 12 to 18.  This program was designed to deter youth from gang membership and was recognized by The Palm Beach Post and a local TV stations for her community involvement. She also involved youth girls by implementing big sister mentoring, spa days for self-esteem building, nutritional health and beauty programs. 

 

Through her skills and knowledge of working for several different government agencies she has volunteered and provided assistance and consultation to other charitable organizations.

 

Gwen’s daily mantra is “Nothing is accomplished by spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire!”
